Server Error when opening Plex Server on QNAP TS-h973AX

Server Version#: PlexMediaServer-1.30.0.6442-5070ad484-x86_64
Guys, come back from holiday and my Plex Server is showing the below message.

I have tried reinstalling, removing and reinstalling and nothing.

Any ideas??

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

You browsed towards http://<IP_OF_QNAP>:32400

Try and add /web to above, as in http://<IP_OF_QNAP>:32400/web

Or even better, use https://app.plex.tv/

So when I go here

http://george-nas-pro:32400/web

I get this:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Response code=“503” title=“Maintenance” status=“Plex Media Server is currently running startup maintenance tasks.”/>

When I go to the https://app.plex.tv/ it no longer lists my server

That means that it’s upgrading the database.

Do NOT turn it off until told so…

How long has this been going on?
Did you do an update of your PMS?

I updated to the latest version and that is when the message appeared, but I did that because the family said it wasn’t available on the TV apps (which look like they have been updated in the last week)

That message has been up for about 15 hours now.

What is PMS?

PMS = Plex Media Server

And if been running for 15 hours, I recommend a complete QNAP restart, not just PMS

Ok let me reboot

Ok, new problem, so now it seems to load and asked to select the profile, if I now select me (the admin user) I get

Not authorized

You do not have access to this server

Try again from an incognito browser

Ok sorted, seems something claimed the server, but I am back with a new server name.

It is reindexing now, I also have a new update to install which it seems to want, so I’ll save than joy for the weekend.

Ok spoke too soon!

It is certainly indexing still as the NAS is going crazy, but still don’t see the server in the admin, even in Incognito.

I’ll wait for it to calm, and install the update, see if that makes any difference, maybe it is the version number is the issue, actually I’ll do a full NAS reboot first.

Don’t, since what ever it’s doing you’ll interrupt it

Instead, get a zip with the PMS Logs so we can see what it’s doing

Plex_Verbose_Logs.zip (74.5 KB)
The Claim Server is what is not allowing me to do now.

Attached logs

The log you provided is not the server log, but the client log

Please follow the link I provided, or look here:

Ah yes sorry, here you go.

Plex Media Server Logs_2023-10-13_16-06-51.zip (3.8 MB)

First of all, do NOT use verbose logging unless asked so by us, since it’ll create too much noice

Secondly, your PMS can not access the internet!

Well, if I could swear right now!

I recently upgraded my Sky broadband to 900mbps and had nothing but issues, went aware for 5 days and got back with everything settled down, but Plex not working!

because I use powerline adapters and can access my QNAP I didn’t even think about it accessing the web (since obviously my laptop can)

Looked at the virtual networking on the QNAP and sure enough it was not getting a WAN address, switched the primary connection to Wifi and it is now all back up and running.

Verbose debug duly noted and switched back to default.

dane22, thanks for your help, much appreciated.

Gary

after switching to debug logging, you must restart PMS, and can be done from QNAP AppCenter
