HI, I am trying to share my Plex server at work so I can access my music.
When I click on Enable network . Private lights up green but public is red.
Ive been reading some forums and someone advised to turn off upnp in my router settings.
This lit up both public and private networks green.
When I got into work the next day I was still unable to access Plex server.
Error saying “ServerName” is currently unavailable.
Any suggestions? Sorry am a total newbie
Create a manual port forwarding in the settings of your router at work.
You will have to have a publicly-accessible IPv4 address from your ISP (i.e. your ISP must not use CG-NAT).
(A true “static” IP is not necessary, as long as the IP is stable for at least a day.)
