Server is installed, but when I click "my media" it goes to screen "get plex media server"

I’ve installed Server version cleanly this week on my pc. I’ve added my own content, and was able to view on the pc via http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html

In troubleshooting another issue, I’ve signed out of my account on this interface, and re-signed back in. and my media is not showing up anymore.

On the left menu, I see “Home, News, + Your Media, More”.
I click “+ Your Media” and I see “Add your media… get Plex Media Server”…

strangely, my version before logging off was 1.18.9.2578, but now it’s showing 4.22.3!

What?

I’m on the server on the PC. Not sure whats going on. Or is the 127.0.0.1:32400 just a client, and somehow my server got screwed up? Or earlier 127.0.0.1 loaded the local server, but after logging out and back in, it’s connecting to a web version?

I have no idea whats going on here.

As an update, I uninstalled and reinstalled and the media showed up automatically again. Shouldn’t need to do that, so I’m assuming there was something else I could do besides that?

thats exactly what im getting

Mac OSX 10.11 - I’m getting the same behaviour. I cannot find a way of adding my own media. I’ve used AppCleaner now to fully delete the Server and reinstalled Version 1.19.1.2645 and I cannot navigate to a local folder to add my media. I want to use Plex with our Roku. VERY frustrating. Help! Now found this advice and will give it a go.
It worked - basically, one has to start again. But you must delete this hidden settings file(s) see here in order to be able to redo the set up. - Phew!
