I accidentally deleted the windows vm my plex server was running on. I decided to start from scratch trying to deploy it on my freenas/truenas converted PC where all the files lived anyway. I have everything configured within freenas 11.3 but when I sign in to the new plex management IP with my plex account in chrome the new server dosn’t show up with a new server configuration. i just get pushed on to the plex.tv site. there are no servers showing under authorized devices and no way for me to add any… how do i get this new server added to my plex authorized devices?

I have tried logging in with my plexpass account. then logging out of the plexpass account clearing browser history and attempting to create a new plex account. even with the new plex account the new plex server does not go through the gaining process.
Are you attempting to configure the server from a device on a different network? Or is the server remote? If either of these is the case, have a look at the “On a Different Network” section of the Plex Media Server installation document:
Specifically, see the part about creating an SSH tunnel to proxy your local browser connection to the server.
they are on the same network, same subnet.
Hmm… I was curious because you blanked the IP address (or FQDN) in the address bar of your image above. Folks generally only do that when they (correctly) need to hide their public IP address or their server FQDN.
If you’re accessing it locally, via its RFC-1918 compliant IP address (not hostname), and you’re still having issues, the information in this support article may be more helpful:
