Server not available/Settings not available SOLVED

Server Version# 1.18.1.2019-c186313fe
Player Version#::Version 4.8.4

Hi. I’m a long time plex pass lifetime member and I have never had this problem before. After updating to the newest version from 11/11/2019 my server can’t be found. I have uninstalled and re-installed many times, cleaned cache, cookies, logged in and out, etc. and still I get this message or sometimes after doing the above it shows up but then gives the message server settings not available. I tried rolling back to the previous version but it doesn’t fix the problem. Due to the above and can’t get to the logs. Is there a solution?

I have the same issue, still haven’t found a way to get it fixed, nor anyone responding.
You can try this: https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/?_ga=2.251140038.1792333657.1573681241-826262153.1519376698

It works for me until i claim the server then it gets not available again.

Thank you for your suggestion. I tried it and like you it did not work for me. I decided to look around in my registry without making any changes. I found two locations with two files that made all of the difference. When you open the registry the first file is found here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER in this file click it to open it and scroll down to software and click it to open it; this is where I saw a folder for Plex. I right clicked on it and clicked remove. The second file is found here HKEY_USERS do the same thing as above in this folder. Next I repeated all of the steps that I have been trying for a million times over the past three days of this nightmare which are: I uninstalled everything pertaining to Plex, I deleted the Plex folders in my C Drive program folder and in the X 86 program folder, I deleted the cookies via the control panel under the Internet options, I deleted all browsing history, I emptied my recycle bin, and finally restarted my computer. After the restart I downloaded the Plex media server again. And then I restarted my computer once again. I was pleasantly surprised to see that notice ‘we found a server” when I started Plex up. However, keep reading in case this happens to you. As I went through the welcome screen all of my library files were still there which also surprised me and I finished clicking through the set up. Across from my media server name in plex I clicked on the three dots and cleaned my bundles, emptied the trash, and optimized the database. I wanted to add an additional library and when I went to add the additional library and I got that horrible no soup for you message server can’t be found etc. I was heartbroken as if Beyoncé and JLo and I were friends and they kicked me to the curb. But I didn’t give up so easy given this was the most progress I had with this nightmare. So I did everything listed above, all of the steps with the only exception being I did not uninstall Plex or delete the Plex folders in my C Drive. This time around when I started Plex up everything was good just as before and surprise to me the new library that I wanted to add was also listed underneath the “we found a server for you” along with all of my other files. I gladly clicked through all of the setup screens and that’s been it; it has been working perfectly! So I hope that this helps you and restores your server/server settings, etc. As a side note I did not back up the Plex folders in the registry before deleting them because there was no point since they were not working correctly. I wanted to get rid of them completely. Good luck!
