Server not found during big premium music library update

I just got a Plex pass, and created a new premium music library. Scanning took a few days already and now I can’t connect to the plex server anymore. I hear my Synology still rattling, so I think it’s still doing the huge library update. Is this is known issue? That it gives a timeout to the Plex connection when doing huge library updates?

The best way to do music libraries is contrary to how you might think because of the small CPU in the synology.

It’s best to create is with a small block (not over 5000 total tracks) then, after that addition is complete, edit the library and add another block.

An example might be:

music/A-D
music/E-K
music/L-O
music/P-S
music/T
music/U-Z

each is added and PMS is allowed to index fully first.

Also, In Settings - Server - Library,

  1. Enable Partial Scan. This saves it from having to read everything every time
  2. Enable automatic. It will find the singular thing. Coupled with Partial Scan… it does the work for that one item only.

And would you advise then, to turn off the regularly scan option and maybe also to turn on the option to perform scan task on low priority?
