Server responsiveness suddenly spotty

Hi there. I am a 10+ year veteran Plex user and IT professional. Not sure if the latest Windows App Store client is the issue, but basically my server has become super slow to browse between libraries and tends to take forever to start a movie, if it starts it up at all. Everything used to be very snappy, so I suspect this could just be a local player issue on my PC because my phone still plays everything back snappy and just fine. In addition to rebooting the physical server itself, I have already tried Optimizing DB and Clean Bundles.

The only other clue here might be the fact I added 1000’s of photos to my Photo library for a total of over 11,000 photos mixed with some videos. My Movie library is of course separate from my Photo library, yet both libraries have that same unresponsive behavior or intermittent stuttering on my PC with Windows App client.

Also…if I use my Chrome browser as the player on that same PC, everything plays very speedy. I’m going to try to uninstall and then reinstall the Windows App store Plex client and I’ll report back here in a few.

Well, I guess there’s a certain satisfaction in posting the above message and then solving it all out on your own, eh? A complete uninstall and clean reinstall of the Windows App seems to have resolved my issue! I’m good to go. I hope this helps someone else in the community.
