I can access Plex from all options locally or from Http with the same result when I try to access setting/setting, Plex server is in general working fine. I’ve tried all the suggestions noted without success…>Plex trace Setting Unavailable error.txt (16.9 KB)

Thanks for the Plex Web app log.
It shows the server returning an error 500

Would like to see the server logs please as well
Please restart the server, wait 5 minutes and then try again and when you get the error, locate the server logs directory and copy the logs out incluidng the “PMS Plugin Logs” directory andn zip the copy and attach the zip please

Do you have any proxy software running? You can check by going to
Settings / Internet Options / Connections / LAN Settings and see if the Proxy box is ticked. That could interfere with communications between the PlexScriptHost.exe processes and Plex Media Server.exe process affecting access to server settings

I don’t. It may be a in coincidence, this was all working just fine and I lost a media drive which I sent in under warranty. It was then that I happened to notice I could get into settings. By the way, when changing/adjustting my other media drives letter back to match what Plex expected (2 of them). I am unable to do any update when managing library. It says save failed. By the way, Plex is on another drive. Is the trace you want in the log folder?

Also, I am unable to click on any settings and manage option, I get this same unavailable error message.

See this article for location of the Logs directory

(Manually Finding Log Files paragraph)

Here are the logs…PMS Logs.zip (703.8 KB)

Hi - You missed the main log files.

“including PMS Plugin Logs” and not only “PMS Plugin Logs”

Please repeat and get me the whole set of logs - thanks

You mentioned disk drive issues earlier

Was the E: Drive affected ?

There are errors in the logs relating to this path

E:\Plex Media Server\Plug-in Support\Caches`

Is the data all readable on that drive ? Was this restored from a backup?
Any filesystem corruptions ? Did you run chkdsk on the drive?

The E Drive was not affected. It was my H: drive that went bad. It was the drive I used for DVR’ing TV shows. But… I check the drive (E) and sure enough, it had a ton of errors! I did a repair of the drive and Plex now works (settings). I can’t tell you how many hours I spent looking for a solution on the internet. Who would have thought another drive (which is where my Plex files are by the way), would have been affected when the other drive failed. I actually had done a chkdsk just a couple of months ago on my drives and found no errors. Thank you so much for your time. I am really great full for you getting right on this! P.S. I love Plex by the way. Problem solved!

Thanks for the confirmation. Glad it is fixed now
