Server Settings Unavailable

Yep, its a problem that’s been around forever, and hasn’t been solved. Nope, I can’t backup and uninstall reinstall as I can’t get to server settings. Neither can I download logs as obviously I can’t get to server settings.

I’ve tried a few things like administrator install of update.

Seriously unimpressed that this issue has been ignored for so long.

Tried that

I’m having the same problem. I tried the linked solution and no luck. I’ve also tried running as admin as it was suggested that might be a solution. That didn’t work either. How do I go about getting this resolved?

I had the same problem i had to reroll to a previous version of Plex Media server to have it resolved and have disabled automatic updates.

I’ve now had to reinstall an earlier version and experiencing the pain of setting watched status for a large library. Not happy

I havent got that problem when i downgraded, maybe you can try and setup trakt for yourself it can keep a track of your watched status. It can pull or push whatever you have watched to plex or to the trakt website

Same issue here update to a new version and bam it breaks PMS. Downgrade to 5102 and everything is kosher. I try to upgrade to each version as it comes out with no luck. No response from Plex staff is worrying as it seems like more then just a few people have been experiencing this major issue.

Did y’all customize your location of the Plex data folder?

Holy heck. That was my issue. So odd that it worked in an older version of PMS but not a newer version. Thank you so much for the help!

This solved my issue as well. Thanks!!!

Likewise, solved my issue. Took ages to find solution and had the same problems as those posted above.
Could revert to 1 year old version OK. Every update thereafter tried and had library/ playback and no access to settings. Thank you

Hello Otto: I can’t access any settings in the web interface to make sure drive letter path is correct. I see no entry relating to the path in the registry either.

Also I tried the registry hack at the link above and it satill won’t let me in.

Are you using the web app?

Don’t try this with Edge as your web browser.

Thanks Otto. That link allowed me to see the “unclaimed” server and I can now see my media files in the app. How does it get into an “Unclaimed” state? Anything I should do to prevent this?

BTW
Merry Christmas!!
