Just upgraded to Version 1.14.1.5488 which came with the new Dashboard that tracks user activity. Really great quick tool when you are sharing your server with others. I noticed when I switch the “Play History” graph to “All Time” I get back data dating back 3 years!!! Just curious where those logs are stored and how much room they might consume? Should I be able to clear them out if needed? I installed Tautulli (PlexPy) earlier this year to basically do this feature. Its a bit more in depth but seems to be using a separate database as its records only go back to the time of install for Tautulli (PlexPy) .
there are no logs, the history is stored within the plex database.
I figured that was going to be the case… I was digging thru the folders looking for the logs but the plex “database”/folder system isn’t human friendly unless you read hexadecimal lol.
It is interesting though, that the database has been recording this information for clearly a longtime now and we are just not getting visibility of that fact.
Update:
**The history and reports just started appearing! I didn’t do anything, but just waited on that page while I was writing the initial post.**Update:

=============================
I’m seeing the Dashboard, and I can see what is being currently streamed/played, but I don’t see or have any access to the history and reports?
To confirm, my server is running 1.14.1.5488 on Windows 10x64. I have also restarted the PMS software and am not running it as a Windows Service.
Am I missing something?
Cool feature, glad they added this. Thank you Plex.
I love this!
But I think there is either a bug or something is wrong with my settings somewhere?
It looks like I have no play history since mid-November? I know lots has been watched, and I even see things when I drill into specific users, but this chart is missing data.
I was wondering if tautulli did anything this doesn’t do. I’ve been using it for over a year and I see Plex just added this.
tl;dr: Tautulli does a lot more than this
If you were curious for specifics I’ve written up a comment about it here:
Oh I agree. I like the idea of an integrated interface in Plex but Tautulli just offers so much more data and historical logging about the streams. I think the Plex version looks a little more polished and I like the real time bandwidth. I’ll probably use a mix of the two.
