Server unavailable and won't connect

cant connect to server. uninstalled plex. reinstalled win executable c++. logeed out and logged back in on both app and server. i keep clicking retry connection and it does nothing.

Considering you may have uninstalled incorrectly. You must follow these instructions properly. Then try to re install.

So it’s a network issue, do you have IPv6 enabled in PMS server Network settings. Try turning it off if so.

https://support.plex.tv/articles/204604227-why-can-t-the-plex-app-find-or-connect-to-my-plex-media-server/

i do not run ipv6. even if i did. i have firefox running fine. cleverget soulseek qbitorrent and other programs all running with zero issues.

Some Plex apps are not Compatible for secure connections

ok i went through all the troubleshooting topics and other support threads. youre literally just going down the list on everything i already read and tried. thats why im here.

if you want to remote access my pc have at it

Ok then, your OP was of very limited detail. Have you checked your Router Network settings to your apps and have you Reserved a LAN IP address for your Server.

yes and the att router im using wont let me do that unfortunately. ive got a tab open with the router ip address so again if you want to remote access im game.

Try pinging OttoKerner or ChuckPa there more versed in those areas

im going to walk away for a bit and come back with a clear head because im frustrated. maybe ill just restart the pc and hard boot the router. its weird because it was working last night just fine. i didnt change anything other than reinstalling plex and windows executable because i had two ill that were broken. nothing else has changed. i wake up this morning and it wont connect. i dont turn my pc off either. so it wasnt a restart issue.

@OttoKerner @ChuckPa please help me

Which operating system?
Which server version?
Also, if you can dig into where Plex stores it’s data (Plex Media Server folder), make a ZIP of the “Logs” folder and attach it.

Need details

win 10
PlexMediaServer-1.41.5.9522-a96edc606-x86
Plex-1.108.1.307-dd5b87aa-x86_64

Plex Media Server Logs_2025-03-26_11-11-37.zip (2.9 MB)
