Server unavailable but only on shield tv

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can provide some advice on an issue I’m having please

I have plex server installed on a pc (ie I don’t use the shield plex server).

I have various devices around the home that have plex players installed, all working correctly. A mixture of wired and WiFi

Except one of my shield tv devices (wired). Often I get server unavailable and can’t use it. At the same time, trying other devices and they all work as expected.

All other apps work on the shield (Netflix and other streaming apps I mean).

I have vpn turned off.

It does work sometimes!

Any ideas what I’m missing?

I would add the IP address in the plex server for devices not requiring authorisation and check you haven’t specified secure connections must be used, but instead set as preferred.

What I have just noticed, is turning off ethernet and using wifi, and Plex works on the Shield again.

With ethernet on, I get full speed (140Mbs) and all my other internet-using apps work fine (Netflix, IPTV, Prime etc.). I’ve tried another cable just to be safe.

I’ve also compared the settings on this Shield TV, with the settings on my other Shield TV (which is working fine), and both are setup the same. I also have a wired Fire TV and Plex is working fine on that too. All wifi devices are working as well.

Shield/Settings/system apps/Plex Media Server/ force stop, clear data. Restart PMP

Tried that unfortunately… Tried the standard stuff, restarting, clearing data, rebooting everything etc.

Ok, seems to be working with the latest PMS update
