I have searched the forum but couldn’t find anyone with the same issue as mines.
I have my Plex server setup on Windows 8.1, and on EE fibre broadband (I live in the UK) and all is working fine. Remote access is enabled and can be viewed from outside my network. I was able to access my plex server from my friend’s house, who is also on EE broadband, without any issues. Just the odd buffering for some movies.
I went away for 2 weeks so shut the server down, but have turned it back on since I have been back. Updated the ples to the latest version and all was well. Then one day, while my friend was watching a movie on the plex player on the NowTV box, the movie stopped and since then my server has been showing as unavailable when ever i try to access it from by her. I thought it might be the router blocking it but then the player can access the shared library of my work colleague fine. When I try from my android phone, I am able to access my plex fine if I am using mobile data, but can’t when I connect to her wifi noetwork. I have checked the ports are open, which they are but still no luck. I haven’t performed any configurations on my server apart from the plex update. Not sure what else to do as everything seems fine on both ends.
