Server unreachable through web app but working on all tv devices

Server Version#:1.29.2.6364-7000
Player Version#:4.131.1
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

I’m really hoping someone can help - I’ve spent the last day trying to get my PMS on my NAS functioning again and for every step forward I make, something else stops working. I’ll offer my current status but can provide the history of what transpired if it’s required.

At the moment, all my devices on my tvs are allowing my Home Admin and all managed accounts to access all my media and they play accordingly (which was not the case the past day) however app.plex.tv will not access the server at all. It says it is unavailable/ unreachable.

Everything was working until yesterday about 4pm and I actually didnt see any new installs on the NAS or anything. I can provide logs below. I’ve uninstalled the PMS app normal, reinstalled. I’ve uninstalled and unclaimed the server but then it wont allow a new claim code to generate.. the box remains blank. I’m logged into the correct account on both PMS and the web app.

Truly at a loss. I’m glad I can at least access on my devices now but have a complete roadblock when trying to access through the web app.

Try opening by using the Syno’s LAN address http://192.168.50.61:32400/web

I’m a very plug and play individual so if it was trying to go through quick connect it defaulted that way.

When I tried to throw that address in on my pc browser I received this. PC and server are on the same network. At no point between it working and it stopping did I touch any settings on my router, any firewalls anywhere, etc. Literally worked and then it didn’t.

As an update my above was sort of false. I checked a third device that’s plugged into another TV and it couldn’t access the files there either.

Are you local (on the same LAN) as the Syno or are you remote to it?

If you’re local:

  • Turn off Quick Connect as a test
  • Refresh (Control + F5) the page
  • Now try to open PMS from package center link (it should be showing the IP)

If you still cannot get to the server then I think the server has somehow become unclaimed.

you can reclaim it pretty easily

Here is how to.

After you do this and have control again in Plex/web, please restart the player apps so they can update to the new credentials from PMS.

I’m having major problems all around with PLEX atm.

I cannot even log out of plex on my PC. It’s like I’m locked.

I am local, same as syno. I tried to turn off quick connect and that didn’t work.

Whenever I try to reclaim and click to get the code, the box remains blank and nothing shows up. That’s happened multiple times now over the last day when I’ve tried to claim. The box always remains blank.
