Found the Auto Update setting, turned off!
Hey @ABallagh
Iāve just looked through your logs and I see some slightly suspect things. Would it be possible to get overlapping Plex Web and PMS logs?
What happens when you go to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
on the server? Does the web app load? Or do you get a blank screen?
Hi! I havnt done much of this log uploading before so I would need to know where to look for the Plex Web logs, my server isnt in the default install location. Is it even helpful now I have rolled back the server? When I am running any of the last 2 (1.18.0.1913-e5cc93306 1.18.0.1944-f2cae8d6b) versions the web app loads fine regardless of the address but it just keeps trying to connect to my library , so I cant do an automatic log download from there. It says server is unreachable. So yes the screen is blank but only in the sense that there is no media, it still works on my clients. let me know if you want me to update the server and upload the logs again but I will need some help finding the Plex Web logs and I need to know exactly which logs you need.
Here are some logs from last night, hopefully it shows when the auto update happened and when it went to ā ā ā ā . com.plexapp.system.log.rar (247.6 KB) Plex Media Server.1.rar (1.7 MB)
Same thing occurring, Iām going fairly mad, even after downgrading. Let me try going back further.
You have to go back to 1.17, does that not work for you?
Iām back to the earliest 1.17 update and wondering if this wasnāt some Windows Update instead that occurred around the time of 1.18ās release.
Plex loads until I try to play anything and becomes unreachable, still trying to find anything relevant in the logs.
That sounds like a different issue, I have no libraryās in anything above 1.17 and this works perfect for me and everyone else having trouble with 1.18. I donāt play media on the server but I just tested it and itās working fine. Good luck with your search, I will keep an eye on your progress just in case it is related in some way.
This has been bugging me for the last couple days now. I am able to access on Roku, Android, Android TV, Windows App, iPhone app, but not the web app either on my desktop on the same network or on the server directly. Can add some logs if that will help, but I have seen a few errors crop up:
Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 28
PublicAddressManager: Unable to get public IP adddress from myPlex (httpCode=408):
Error parsing content.
Error parsing XML: Error parsing file.
Well I was thinking about that great lifetime offer on the plex pass then i updated to another new version tonight, figured they have had time to sort it out, what a waste of time and definitely wont be getting my life long membership, still screwed up on latest version.
Could someone from Plex please tell me what to do here? I really dont want to be stuck on 1.17 but i dont want to waste another evening doing this.
I have exactly the same issue too. Every upgrade from 1.17 to 1.18.x. so far, results in server unreachable error and 100% CPU usage. Read posts that the new music indexer could put a high load for the initial re-index, but even leaving for a few days made no difference.
Even tried removing Music library entirely, then upgrade, but still the same outcome.
Sadly it looks like we are an insignificant few. Do not hold your breath waiting for help.
I can confirm I had the same issue with the latest stable version of Plex. After updating 24 hours later was unable to access Plex via the web and remote access. Tried restarting Plex and also tried rebooting the computer with no joy. Even uninstalling and reinstalling with an older version didnāt correct the issue until I rebooted my computer on Windows 10. Back one version is working perfect, after reboot:)
Their seems to be various degrees of this issue, I had/have no problems with remote access when updating, the problem occurs instantly not after 24 hours, also when I roll back Plex it works straight away, your issue is definitely not exactly the same then. Regardless, I think even if you can fix it by rolling back windows the Plex team needs to do something, the fact that they havenāt even responded to this even after I submitted logs is unacceptable in my opinion, maybe I uploaded the wrong logs but I would not know because there has been little response.
Same here, i cant update from 1.17 to any 1.18 version, the server become unreachable. The only fix that works is the rollback to 1.17 version.
Hope there is a way to update without problems!
Thanks!
I have de the same problem with 1.18 version, the server become unreachable.
Thanks
Hello Plex team???
I am a lifetime PlexPass user, but we seem to be totally ignored here.
EVERY attempt to upgrade from version 1.17.0.1841 to 1.18.x so far results in a status of āserver unreachableā, and 100% CPU utilisation on the server (Windows 10). The only way to fix is to rollback the upgrade to 1.17.0.1841.
Please respond to the provided logs in this thread and investigate
Same issue here.
Same issue here⦠v1.18.x kills me, have to roll back to 1.17
Iāve also got a thread on this, and no response from the Plex team.
