Recently was force to update the nvidia shield media server to view libraries. Now that is it updated when I try to view a library they are showing up empty on the Android mobile app and nvidia android app. I am still able to view the content in the libraries on the web media server.

Also I’m still able to play the content from the nvidia home screen via search, not in the plex app. Seem like the browser for the libraries is just broken on android mobile and tv.
Same sort of thing happened to me.
Did you get the actual server update for the Shield?
Check this to see if you have an update for PMS.
Go to the Play store and find the Plex app, not the area where your app normally gets updated.
Find the Plex app, open it, scroll down past " other apps like this". Do you see Plex Media Server? Open that and see if you have an update option there. This is where I found the actual server update, not the client update which was advertised in my apps portion.

Yeah, took me a while to figure that one out. Had to read the forums to find it. I kept looking in the web browser to do it like when I had the server on a windows machine. Before I update I the app had an error on the libraries and said and updated was needed. Did that now I have the new problem.
I’ve reset multiple times and tried to re-add the folder to the library. Nothing is fixing it. Content is there just unable to view the library on the android devices. I haven’t tried the roku yet but since it is working on the web I think it is an issue with the app.
Same…I could see all my content logged on my PC but I got the same screens as you in my android phone and the shield app.
Then I noticed on my phone the tab said “recommended” like in your screenshot and I selected Library and it showed all my content…and I could use the Shield cast feature to play it even though it still showed I needed to re add my libraries.
The kicker was the only person I share content with has a Fire Stick and it was still working for them perfectly.
I started to realize it was all seemingly within the Shield itself. By chance I went back to where your apps are updated…there was another update to PMS server there now ( wasn’t there before) I updated again and everything came back exactly like it had been.
Have you checked again to see if there are any more updates to the server? I have no explanation for the second update, but it worked. Lol
Not sure how to do so on the Shield, but you might want to check logs and see if your DB was corrupted. Your experience sounds similar to mine at Home Screen No Longer Showing Local Libraries After Latest Update
Looks like repairing a DB on the shield (if that is the issue) is a bit of work though :-/ NVIDIA Shield - how to repair database?
SOLVED, had to delete the the database and restart the nvidia
