Server will not separate The Andy Griffith Show into seasons, whether the setting is to show all or hide single seasons

I cannot get the server to separate episodes of “The Andy Griffith Show” (1960) into seasons. The episodes are coming from DVR, and they’re named correctly, but they are listed in the UI in one stream, without being separated by season. I’ve tried changing the setting to always show seasons, but it didn’t change anything.

Other shows work properly, in that they show up separated into seasons.

The files are named as they should be, separated into seasons. If you look at the image below, the first season should end at S01E09, but it is immediately followed by S02E09.

I’ve tried changing the setting to always show seasons, but it didn’t change anything.

This setting exists at the library level and the show level. Which one are you changing? I’ve had this happen with other shows and changing “Seasons” to “Show” at the show level has always corrected it.

To change it for a specific show, hover over the show’s poster and click the edit icon. It will be on the advanced tab.

That did it. Somehow (I guess by the DVR) it got set to Hide - and I’ve always used the setting on the library.

Guess even some of us long-time Plex users have stuff to learn

I’m pretty sure this is a bug (unless Plex has decided it is a feature). You’ll notice that this will occur for any recordings of a show that is not already in your library.
