Starting yesterday I can no longer access my two servers from my primary account. However all my managed accounts and invited users have no issue seeing them and watching media.
I can access my media on my account via my Samsung smart tv plex app, but the account is marked as “offline” and cannot connect even though I can watch all my media without issue.
I believe this issue has something to do with plex on their end because my account doesn’t seem to be connected or something. Can i get literally any help? It has been 3 days since this happened and I cannot manage my servers.
It’s been nearly 5 days since this problem started and I haven’t gotten a single response on it by anyone from plex, either here or on the plex subreddit.
what is the point of having a plex pass if no one is going to help me fix the problem that i can’t fix because it’s Plex-side?
I’m gonna keep posting in this thread and bumping it until someone helps.
i can’t give you logs from the web app because my account can’t see my servers, but i can get you a log directly from the files on the server computer, but there’s a lot of them here and i don’t know what you need.
also the problem isn’t with the servers, it’s with my plex account. the servers are still connected to my account because all my users can see and use them no problem but i cannot access them from my main account. I also know it’s specifically an account issue because i am connected to several friends servers which are confirmed to be running but plex says they’re offline or inaccessible
over a week now, account is still “offline” and cannot access any servers. I am a lifetime plex pass holder, would appreciate any sort of help from Plex staff.
“Plex Pass” just allows access to additional features, no service real or implied is included.
The logs help avoid playing 20 questions and trying this or that. Screenshot would indicate unclaimed or unsecure servers which could have many causes. Zip up all the files in the log directory from one of your servers and drop in in a reply.
it’s not the servers. i’ve already had to deal with that. This is specifically to do with my account. I cannot see any servers that are already claimed on the account and cannot access plex at all.
the pictures i posted are what my account looks like, but when i switch to any managed account it looks like this. Everything exactly as it should be and fully accessible. It’s only my admin account that cannot see or access any of my servers or content. Plex logs.zip (5.9 MB)
[HttpClient/HCl#1451d] HTTP error requesting GET https://plex.tv/api/v2/server/users/services?auth_token=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (60, SSL peer certificate or SSH remote key was not OK) (SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'plex.tv')
DNS rebinding protection, bad server Cert, bad custom Cert.
Have you ever tested a different web browser? (Preferably one without any add-ins and special features which aim to filter and block web site content)
Only your “temporary” server has been seen by plex.tv within the last ~10 days.
The other two are in an unknown status since that time.
Have you made changes to your home network before that? Added a different router, perhaps, or changed some settings?
Added a web filtering appliance/software or a VPN?
Maybe your ISP introduced some new filtering/security features?
so i did try in several different browsers and did all sorts of restarts and whatnot, but it seems maybe there was something to do with local dns or whatever because after what tiebeirius said i thought maybe i should restart my router since that’s the one thing i hadn’t restarted yet and it seems like it may have solved the issue. windows server is back on the account, but still working on the qnap because it takes 16 years to reboot. i think i just need to figure out claiming it and it might all be back to normal
i still cannot access other people’s servers i’m connected to, though in all honestly i never use them so it’s no loss if i can’t get to them. so long as mine are accessible
update: WIndows and QNAP servers are both back up and visible and claimed properly. Sorry for getting so testy, was just very frustrating
