Further to @paulsalter’s comment “From what i gather it is all based upon the episode details (being an HD channel is irrelevant)” - the channel may be marked as HD, but it appears the guide data itself is missing the HD flag for each program.
Per HD/SD Channel Guide Data Mapping - #8 by P4nd4Style I might just remove the SD channels from my DVR lineup…

Will be curious if that worked for you. I tried that and then it refused to even schedule and record anything as it just isn’t recognizing the HD channels that remained (they’re back mapped to the SD which were then no longer there [guessing])
I am having the same issues with Spectrum in the US. The workaround of removing the SD channels is working for me but it would be nice to have this fixed by Plex in a future release.
Yeah, I basically just removed every channel that had an HD version (and then a bunch of channels I’ll never watch or record like QVC). Took some time, but now I don’t have to worry if they fix anything
Just came in to see if there was a fix for this. It is occurring with my TV provider also. (FIOS)
No fix. There’s the workaround of removing the SD channels and then updating the guide data. Then maybe needing to remove and add the shows again. Mine remembered the old channel even though it’s not in the guide anymore.
There is a fix. Refresh your EPG data and it should work. There’s a post from cire12 about this.
