i dont now if it's important , but i have xbox live gold.

I actived my server on PC ( you can see its in my printscreen) but on my xbox

i have always the same time , Sever version 0.9.10.2 or higher required.

and yes i logout , login few time , yes i restart my and xbox too !

and when i try to update , its tell me L you have already the last version.

Hi,

We are looking into this issue. Meanwhile can you try to kill Plex server and start it again?

Thanks,

I have the same issue.

I have restarted the server quite a few times as well as restarting the XBOX.

The only thing I can think of (not that I feel it is too plausible) is that I installed the XBOX 360 app and verified the PIN prior to updating my PMS version.

Could the XBOX be caching the server version in some non-volatile area?

Is there any way that I can make a similar call to what the xbox is calling to retrieve the server version?

Running into the same problem. Just like GrahamT, I updated the PMS after I downloaded the app, have no gold account, and am running on Ubuntu 14.04 with the current PMS version

How come you're responding to some on here with issues, but not others?  (ie: the issue I've described in the transcoding thread?)  Do I need to raise it in a different manner to get a response?

Looks like when I signed out of my account on the xbox 360, and then signed back in using my password instead of the PIN, it fixed all the issues... Hope this helps. If you go into the  Server & Settings section, then select the General button, it will bring up your account. Just sign out/signin there, and it should fix the problem.

Sorry @Paulheyworth, I'm looking at every post and these issues are being addressed. We hope to have these issues resolved soon.

Thanks.  I was feeling left out!

Unfortunately, signing out of the account and back in with a password on the Xbox 360 hasn't made any difference.

Restarting of the server on the ubuntu box hasn't made any difference either.

I can see on the devices page that the xbox has connected recently.

I am out of ideas.

Hi,

Are you singed into Plex account in the Plex Media Server?

Are you running on a local network on an IP address range not starting with "10." or "192.168."?

Thanks,

Also are you signing in with PIN or using the Username and Password?

I am signed into the PMS using my plex account.

I am running on a 10.1.1.x network range.

I have tried signing in on the xbox with both a PIN and a password.

Everything else is working across my entire network (I love Plex and the work you all do ;)

- Chromecast works

- IOS works nicely

- Kids can sync stuff down to ipads and watch when we are away from home

- Streams nicely to the 2 Mac Plex Home Theatre installs.

Just the 360 App that seems to be struggling a bit.

Are there any additional logging I can turn on on the PMS Ubuntu box?

Would it be worthwhile me installing Wireshark on the server and trying to capture all the network comms between the xbox and server?

Happy to do anything I can to help diagnose the problem.

Thanks

Thank you very much for the details! Can you try to re-install Xbox 360 Plex App?

Thanks,

No luck on that either.  I deleted it twice and tried a reboot inbetween.  No luck.

It clearly caches something because even after the delete and reboot, a reinstall did not ask me to reenter my login details (or acknowledge pin).

I logged out and tried it also and it didn't help.

I even purged to cache on my xbox after uninstalling the app, rebooted, installed the app again but after opening it up it has still cached the credentials (I didn't have to enter my credentials again) - still cant use the app.

Thank you for giving that a try.

Go to Settings>General and Sign Out

Than re-install the app and sign in using password and username.

I have the same problem. Tried everything above but still not working :frowning:

I get this error if I have ticked the option “require authentication on local network” (which I need for multi-users.

If I untick that option and restart the plea app on the Xbox it then connects fine.

That setting is not set for me but I still have the issue
