My Father and I have our Plex servers shared with each other. I cannot get antenna reception at my house and I use his Plex server to access my local channels through the connection to HDHomeRun at his house.
Yesterday when I log into plex it shows that his plex server is currently unavailable.
If I switch to his account in my plex app at my house it finds the server fine and can play back live tv.
Looking at settings on his plex server, all folders are shared and the liveTV and DVR are allowed to my plex account for sharing. (I have even removed and re-added the settings for shared access on his side.)
I can also go to the public address and port of his plex server from my home and other devices and still show no access from his plex server. the server accepts my login and the client at the public IP does come up. again if I switch to his account everything works. I have also tried on mobile devices with wifi turned off so using the mobile carrier networks with same results.
Why can I not access the shared server from account that has full permissions???
