Saw a similar issue on Windows forum, but posted here as running PMS on a Synology…
Had a duplicate Label for my son’s content. Have filtered based on the label I want to remove, and ensured no content assigned to that label. Checked both Libraries and all clear.
Run Library Scan, Optimise Library, Clean Bundles, and Empty Trash
When adding new labels the redundant label is still offered
I’d recently switched from Chrome to FF, and the issue was persistant (no “copy from Chrome” option used during FF installed), however I followed the details you provided, and the situation is still the same.
The “joshsafe” label is still not assigned to any content, and doesn’t show anything when using it to filter content.
Its not a major issue … but if I can help to identify the issue then I’ll feel like I might have contributed somehow

I believe that may be the result of your browser caching the content. Stop Plex from running, and then try clearing your browser’s caches and if your browser is set to remember your browsing history, you may want to disable that temporarily and clear any data it may have saved.
Restart Plex and do the following in order:
Optimise Database
Empty Trash
Clean Bundles
…
Wait for each step to complete before moving to the next step.
Then check to see if that option is still displayed or not.
Did anyone resolved this? No media seems to be using one of my old labels of “K” but it still exists within filtering results. I have optimised and cleared bundles. Still appears on the Plex app as well as the web browser…
