Shield not scanning TV shows via plex media server

I have 2 Shields and 1 PC I use as servers. I cannot get a show to show up on my shield servers but on my PC server it does. I can see the scanner scan the folder, it will pause on the show and I can see the season and folder in the scanner, but it just does not add the show. I gave all the files named like S01E01…etc but nothing works. I’ve tried updating all the software, moving to different drives, making sure the folder is not read only…etc. Any help would be appreciated.

What agents are you using for the respective libraries on the Shields vs. the PC (from the library’s context menu: … > Manage Library > Edit… → Advanced > Agent)?

I had both PC and shields set to scanner plex tv series agent plex series

also shields did some weird upgrade library

edit: what’s even more bizarre, I put the two seasons of the show, seasons 1 and 2, in a different folder, but this folder is for the same series, but many years ago. They brought it back with season 15 and 16 under “the new series” and they show up in that folder. And the seasons show the new posters of the “new series” of the same show. It’s so weird.

And on my PC, it does the same thing, when I move the show to the older show, it puts them all together, but if I remove them, and split them out on their own, it shows up as it’s own new series. It’s so weird.

Please provide a directory listing, screenshot, etc showing how you have things named and organized.

Include the folder added to the Plex library and the file name extensions (MP4, etc).

it looks like everything is fine now. The show I was trying to add (show only has season 1 and 2) are now season 15 and 16 of the shows new series, which works because it’s just a continuation of the last series.
