Shield TV - Live TV and DVR not appearing? (re: external Plex server)

I’m running Plex Media Server on an external server (ie. not on the Shield itself) and it’s showing v1.5.6.3790. Both of my HDHomeRun tuners show fine and the program guide is also displayed on the web interface.

My Shield TV shows Plex v5.10.2.354 but I don’t see any DVR or Live TV tabs or anything like that.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to be on 1.7.2 of the media server. Try download the latest version from the plex site.
It should then show.

Yes, you need to update to the Plex Pass release, which is PMS 1.7.2.3878. In the Server Settings you can change your update channel from ‘Public’ to ‘Plex Pass’.

I was using the Ubuntu repository and that was the latest and I was also using the Public update channel.
