ShieldTV will only play 4K version of title when "Play Version" is used

Even when I just paused to check my client version and returned to the same movie (by pressing “Resume”) my ShieldTV Pro 2019 will play the 1080 version of any movie that I have both 1080 and 4k versions of. This is true of pausing a movie or viewing one for the first time.

Home Streaming is set to Maximum. Adjust automatically is off.

Server is in Docker on unrelated hardware.

Titles are “combined” versions of the same movies.

I don’t wish to separate my libraries into 4k and not. This used to work.

Can you please send the XML info for the two files as Plex sees it? If you don’t want to post it here you can PM it.

I looked through it briefly but don’t see any obvious reason not to share it. Hopefully it’s OK. Is there a way to attach it or do I just paste?

The forum does not support .xml attachments. Zip it or save as a .txt file before attaching. To attach, just drag into the message window. The file will attach at the cursor location. You can also use the upload icon, the one with the upward pointing arrow.
