One of my shows (Adventure Time) is show Season 0 Episode 1 as being on deck.
I have not started this show, so would not expect it to appear on deck.
None of the episodes are marked as watched.
I have tried marking all as watched then unwatched.
I have tried the Plex dance moving the series out of monitored library folder with no joy.
If I remove season 0 (specials) out of the library, it disappears from on deck.
Any thoughts why season 0 would cause it to show on deck when this does not happen with any other shows?
I’ve had fun and games with on deck sometimes as we have little control over it. If you are willing to marked watched and unwatched then do that with the system date on your server set in the past.
So, 1) stop plex, 2) set date to say 3 months ago, 3) start plex, 4) mark show watched then unwatched, 5) stop plex again, 6) set date back to normal and 7) start plex again.
This has worked for me in the past when trying to force updates on deck.
Thanks. That does seem to remove it from the list, but also then removes premieres of series’ that I am in fact watching, and want to appear on deck.
Does that setting apply to all series’ or only series for which you have watched previous seasons?
I would imagine the latter, else On Deck would be littered with god knows how many unwatched series?
If the latter, as I have not started watching Adventure Time, that setting shouldn’t be what’s causing it to appear on deck?
The first episode showing as On Deck is from 2008, which is obviously well over the default 16 weeks to consider on deck.
I think there must be something deeper going on here?
You can’t – there is no real control for On Deck to the users. The only option is Include season premieres in On Deck to stop season premieres showing but that is it. Once something is started its on the deck until Weeks to consider for On Deck and Continue Watching kicks in to have it dropped off.
Yes mate I get that, but this is exactly my problem!
I haven’t started it, and it’s been on there for over the 16 weeks that my On Deck settings are set to.
This show meets no conditions for it to show On Deck, and 100% should not be there.
There must be something specifically about Season 0 Episode 1 that is causing it to incorrectly show On Deck, as moving that episode only anywhere else, removes the show from On Deck.
I don’t want to permanently remove that episode, I need to fix this incorrect behaviour!
While not helpful I did want to mention I have adventure time with the specials named like this Adventure Time S00E01.mkv and I don’t see the issue you are reporting.
Have you tried doing a full plex dance on that TV show as I’m guessing its something funky with your db ?
Could be off the mark here as you seem to have matched correctly but if you check the support doc …

Shows sometimes air “specials” or other content that isn’t part of the standard season. “Specials” episodes are always part of season zero (i.e. season number “00”) and should be placed inside a folder named either Season 00 or Specials.
Might be worth changing your season folder to be called Season 00 and your episode S00E01 - Title.mkv so it exactly matches what they expect. I would try that if you have not already and do a plex dance at the same time.
