After the password reset email, I went and reset my account password as instructed, after which I got the same error that so many have been getting, where the server just is not detected anymore. I followed along with a topic I can no longer track down that suggested uninstalling Plex Media Server and then re-installing. I did the uninstall with keeping everything, re-installed, but when it says there’s an option to use a claim code, I’m not finding it. So when it finishes the install, I just get the default Plex stuff, none of my media because there’s nowhere to add the claim code to get things working properly again.
Has anyone dealt with this? How can I get Plex back as it should be?
Click on Manual Install (upper right corner), and choose the file you downloaded from Plex.
During the install, you will see a window with the option to install with a Plex Claim Token.
Choose that option. The process will lead you through obtaining and using the token (you’ll go to a web page that has the token, then copy/paste).
Click next, etc to let the installation proceed.
IMPORTANT: The installation process will create a new shared folder, PlexMediaServer, and will move your Plex Data Folder to that location. This migration process can take minutes to hours, depending on the amount of media on your system. Do not interrupt the process. Let it continue, even if your DSM session times out. This is part of upgrading from the old beta to a current release. It is a one-time thing.
When the installation process finishes, login to your Plex server using the local IP address of your NAS: http://synology_ip_address:32400/web.
You should be able to access your server, verify settings, etc.

I appreciate this help, I did actually do all of this last night, with help from @ChuckPa, who was a huge help. These steps are basically what I followed and all is now well. I truly appreciate the help
