The progress bar dysfunction has been a big problem for a LONG time.
Although that thread is specifically about the windows and web players I know, form hard experience, that its been a problem on the Android and Roku clients.
The very latest release of the Android client 10.5.0 is looking VERY promising.
I’ve been testing watching currently recording shows and using FWD/REV skips and has not gotten confused yet. ( it always did previously )
I’m not sure if the Android releases translate to Smart TV releases so this may or may not be helpful to you.
