Over the weekend I moved my Plex server to another device but left all of my media on the Synology NAS where I previously had the Plex server software running. Everything has been great running on the new hardware except the skip intro button does not appear. I have disabled and enabled the feature. I have rebooted the new hardware with the feature off and then re-enabling it. I have tried analyze on all of the libraries but still no button. I have read the migrating to a new device documents and I will try to copy the entire library folder to the new server if necessary but was hoping that I could just copy over a couple of folders to accomplish this without copying a 30Gb file. I have all of my media along with the watch progress only tonight when watching a show did I notice that the skip intro was not coming up. Again, the media itself never moved. Only the server and it was pointed back to the same media folder as the previous Synology server. Previously I was running the native Synology Plex app and now I am running it in Docker in UnRaid on small PC.
