(Skip) Intro Not Working / Detected After Fresh Install

Hello,

A few days ago I completely reinstalled Plex and readded the libraries using the latest format.

Now, it does not detect any intros for TV shows.

I went through this guide, but there is nothing new or different: Skip TV Show Intros | Plex Support

Generate intro video markers is set as default: as a schedules task or when media is added
Enable intro detection is ticked for that specific library.
I Analysed the library again, but no change.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

May I paraphrase ?

  1. You have an existing server
  2. When you add media to that server
  3. Intro detection runs

– When –

  1. You have existing media
  2. You setup a new server instance
  3. Intro detection does not run.

If this is correct, are there any logs still in existence which capture this ?

I have downloaded the Logs, but there are 72 files taking 78.8 MB. Which are the ones that are needed?

When you ZIP them, they will be about 4-5 MB.

Please include them all (Settings - Server - Troubleshooting - Download Logs)

I’ve checked with the team.

Intros are normally detected when -

  1. During normal nightly maintenance if enabled for the section.
  • This includes newly created sections.
  1. Once initial detection has been performed, any new media will be added to the detection queue.

Because intro detection takes a lot of resources on smaller processors (like NAS systems), it’s saved for running during maintenance.

Do you have a case where it’s not running during maintenance ?

I believe so. I have the server running from 2-3 days ago when I did a fresh install, and as far as I am aware, the maintenance occurs every night around 2.

Few weeks ago whilst on the old type library and so on, I remember seeing the intro detection in the dashboard taking place right after I was scanning the library for new items, but it is definitely no longer the case now.

Can I check if the maintanance actually took place overnight in the logs?

Edit: I checked the logs myself today and can see a certain number of things happened last night after 2, but still no Intros for any of the episodes. Here are the logs:
