Apart from the fact that you obviously don’t have a Plex Pass I can’t follow your interpretations at all. If there is 27 seconds of retrospect then the “Skip Intro” button obviously appears right after that. I don’t have 24 to test it, but at least it works for Shameless.
I cannot tell you the specific reason for not working with 24, but Shameless shows a catchup as well and it works. So your explanation why it could not work in general is definitely wrong. Apart from the fact that your explanation makes no sense to me.

Maybe it would be a good attitude to just tell at which shows the skipping doesn’t work yet, instead of bitching about how ■■■■■■ everything is. In my eyes the Plex team has done a really good job here and they are saying that they will continue to improve it.
If there are things to criticize about Plex I am the first to do so. But this is a completely new feature that in my perception works better than I expected it to (for the very beginning).
By the way, it is somehow suspicious if you have a Pass, but there is no label next to your name. But whatever.
I don’t know what you are talking about. I just wanted to tell you that your strange conclusions and assumptions why all this can’t work at all are simply bullshit. And if the devs are obviously still working on it there is really no reason to act like that here at the moment.
