I have recently noticed while watching movies from my Plex server on Roku, whenever there is a scene that moves quickly, panning, or movement it stutters but only during those parts. Is there a simple tweak Im missing on the server that can alleviate this?
I noticed that myself on one video. I use a Synology NAS for my server, and was watching it on the Windows 10 Plex Player. I just put it down as my computer being a bit jumpy from the app being kind of unstable (why is there such a lag in the UI when you full-size a video?), or maybe a memory leak.
I haven’t tested it more thoroughly to find out if it’s reproduce-able. Have you gotten any more info yourself?
The only thing that “sorta” worked was rebooting the Roku, although it tends to occur again at random with random titles. It could be a Roku centered issue as the files that skipped actually play fine on a stand alone player.
