Slow remote access on 1G fiber internet

Hi, I need help on optimizing the plex server. I already did the speed test on my synology nas, and it has 950M up and down. However, when I remote access to watch video on my plex server, it kept buffering and the speed is only around 35M. Any suggestions?

To put it simple… 35 Mbps aren’t necessarily an issue if that video of yours is based on a Blu-Ray. In that case that’s pretty much all you’ll get/need.

Given you get approx. 35 Mbps this implies there’s not necessarily an issue with a bad remote access configuration causing an indirect/relayed connection. Instead it’s likely an issue with the server’s capability to deliver the stream in real-time due to some transcoding limitations.

What information is showing in the “now playing” tile for that playback on the Plex server dashboard? Particularly w/ regards to transcoding vs. direct play/stream…

Also… what Synology model are you using (to help understand its transcoding capabilities).
