In my case my TV Model is a Sony Bravia KD55XD8005
Edit:
AS the interface was so unusable, I have now uninstalled that one and installed/sideloaded the previous beta 7.26.0.14321-beta and the user interface has returned to normal.
Iām seeing the same problem with the same versions. I just went with loading Kodi and using the Plex addin rather than side loading to get back.
Problem is as the OP said, moving between cards takes several seconds. I didnāt even try playing anything yet though just was no longer usable for me in this state.
OK yes the beta app updated on my two Bravia TVs last night, and since then both Plex apps are unusable: loading the user selection screen seems fine, but loading the Home screen after that has the artwork very slowly fading in, and navigation key presses taking several seconds to have any visual reaction. Moving between sidebar options is almost impossible, and Iāve not been able to make it as far as scrolling libraries to test if the issue is there as well. App crashes back to the TV menu usually at this point. Canāt tell if hiding the new streaming āfeatureā would work because I canāt quite get to it. Rebooted the TV, and updated PMS, no change. One tv is on LAN (2018 model) , the other on WLAN, (2016 model).
Back to Plex for Kodi for now. Iām associating the introduction of the new streaming feature with this show stopping bug and its not a positive association.

If it was the āstreaming libraryā (which it isnāt), sideloading a previous build of the app (as another user has mentioned above) wouldnāt resolve the the problem.
Itās a beta issue and a bug. We will fix it before the full release of 7.26. If you donāt want to experience beta issues I strongly recommend removing yourself from the beta program.
I was on Android TV 7.26.0.14345 when I had the issues, which I now understand is a beta version is it not? I donāt know how I ended up on that version aside from my TV auto updating. Iāve now sideloaded an older version and resolved this issue.
Also on that latest version, I encountered another highly specific issue which was that EAC3 would not play while the new video player AND passthrough audio was enabled (optical). disable either and files with EAC3 would play fine
Iām seeing this same issue - navigating between video items on the screen prior to launching is taking about 2-3 seconds to move to next icon. my version is 7.26.0.14385. Iāve tried clearing cache & data which hasnāt made any difference. Actual playback of video is working just fine, itās purely a navigation issue.
Iāve turned on network logging and I will share some logs with you.plexLog.txt (172.6 KB)
experiencing the same issue with android tv client and synology nas server, video playback perfect, but browsing thru thelibrary almoast imposible, after switching to folder view it becomes usable, but not in a poster view of library.(sony KD49XF8596)
Can confirm on this version also. TV decided to update over the working version I sideloaded with version 7.26.0.14345 and experienced the slow interface again. Uninstalled, turned off auto-update, reinstalled working sideloaded version. Fine again now
