I do not get this whole small viewer thing in the lower left hand corner.
I should just be able to click on a movie and it plays.
Why do I need to go click on the small viewer in the bottom left?
Awkward .
I’m not quite sure what you see.
When I start playing a video, it’ll play in full window/screen mode.
With what player do you experience this (e.g. web, desktop player, mobile apps, on your TV…)?
Is this about Plex on a mobile phone when you played a video in “picture-in-picture” mode?
Edit: the only use case where I get to see a “tiny” player is when I exit a playback on a mobile device (iOS)… Plex will keep the recent playback session at the bottom of the page with a tiny preview window.
In both Plex Web and Plex.app, when playing video there’s a ⌄ button at the top-left corner. That will minimize and embed the video into the Plex UI.
It’s persistent until you click the video to restore it to full size.
@BlueFielder, I wonder if you’re hitting ⌄ when you finish a video - perhaps you’d be happier hitting the 🅇 stop button instead?
