That’s fine. What we need is some way of manually telling plex where the rating is coming from so it uses the IMDB image anyway

I believe these are all listed on IMDB as a either ‘TV short’, ‘TV Movie’ or ‘Video’ rather than a ‘Movie’ and therefore Plex cannot pull the rating for it due to licensing

Can’t this - whatever you’re doing to solve this for us - be automated?
Don’t get me wrong @maxflix, you’ve been very helpful matching our movies manually - but this doesn’t seem very efficient.
hi, today i’ve done “update metadata” in some movies that already had imdb rating, now rating is gone. i keep retrying with no luck. rematch no luck, cleared caches & retry and no luck. it doesn’t get the imdb rating for movies that had it previously

Sometimes this happens to me… sometimes I heed to give it a couple of hours and then trying again seems to work. Sometimes I need to do the Plex dance

Same here, sometimes I keep refreshing, unmatching/matching but nothing seems to help.
When Plex gets stubborn that way and nothing seems to help, just give up, call it a night and try again next day. Usually, all IMDb ratings that failed the day before just work like a charm all of a sudden.
Tonight is one of those night, I just can’t get the ratings for Kingsman: The Golden Circle (tt4649466) working correctly, and just like @carlosmg2 I have lost IMDb rating on some movies after refreshing metadata.
I’ll try again tomorrow…
Plex truly works in mysterious ways…
