Server Version#:Any

This addresses the problem of Windows Server users not being able to get a direct connection, but only getting a choice of Indirect Connection to their Windows Server via LAN, and may, possibly pertain to other OSs. You will need to know your Server’s (Windows Computer) IP Address. The procedure is as follows:
- Open Network and Sharing Center.
- Click Change Adapter Settings.
- Double Click your Wi-Fi.
- Click Properties at bottom left.
- On Wi-Fi Properties click the Sharing Tab at the top.
- Click settings.
- You should see Plex Server in the list, and it should be checked. Highlight it and click Edit, or double click it.
- Change the IP Address to the IP Address of your Windows Computer, or other Server’s IP Address.
- Click OK, and close all of the other windows that you just opened.
The problem is caused by changes in the server’s IP Address. Unless you have a static IP Address, you will have to do the process over whenever you can’t connect directly, as some ISPs do not allow you to keep the same Static Address. But if you have a Static IP, you are golden. You may also have to do it whenever your router or modem gets reset or updated.
