SOLVED: I Deauthrized my server, no soup for me

So I deleted my server fro the autorized devices, (please dont ask why) and now my home screen is empt, and I cant find my server, what can I do to restore it?

currently running debian 9 latest pms version. I have saved my original preferences.xml and databases files

Thnaks everyone

if you original preferences.xml file is still where it was with the account info then have you restarted server? this info I mean https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/

You also need to claim it at ip:32400/web not app.plex.tv

Hi, Yes I have restarted the server, followed the link you provided but still no soup :frowning:

@rtrevino

  1. Server IP addr ? Workstation IP addr?
  2. Any VM / Container involvement?

IF:

  1. both are on the same RFC-1918 subnet
  2. Https://app.plex.tv
  3. Settings - Authorized Devices - Server (dropdown)
  4. Find the server and “X” (remove)
  5. SIGN OUT of Plex.tv (upper right of browser)
  6. Now open http://ip.addr.of.host (or http://127.0.0.1:32400/web if the same machine)
  7. Sign in & claim.
  8. Server will put itself back in the list.

Ok Its Solved!!

This is what I did.

I tried again @BigWheel procedure on a DIFFRENT workstation. and it worked flawlessly.
something on my browser cache was just messing with me …

Thanks for the help!! @ChuckPa @BigWheel
