I’m using the new TV series scanner and I’m having an issue with the info for Mythbusters. I have my files named using the year convention (Mythbusters - s2008e01) that TVDB uses but for whatever reason, season 2008 episodes are being matched with the specials season (Season 00). Every other season is matched correctly.
I saw in this post, Mythbusters incorrect Metadata, where someone had the exact same problem but they said it went away after refreshing the metadata. I’ve tried refreshing the metadata as well as doing the Plex dance but I still get season 2008 episodes being recognized as season 00 episodes. A plex employee suggested that there could be some embedded metadata but looking at my files, I don’t see any embedded metadata or any manually entered info on Plex.
I don’t think I have set up anything incorrectly on my end but I’m open to any more suggestions on how to fix this. Also, if there is any more information I can provide to help figure out this problem, please let me know.
