[Solved] Synology DS918+ / Unable to reconnect local NAS after changing password

Same issue on my end here. Following the instructions when uninstalling/reinstalling Synology app version, I get a popup after installation where it says { Successfully claimed by " " }

Not sure where to go from there. Posting log files as well.

same ■■■■ storm with my tnas. Once I got my password changed I lost my server. nothing comes up allowing me to add or claim it, as it has always done in the past. I worked 14 hours to come home and fail for the last 2 hours just to change a password. I’m real close to just shutting it all down. The help menus show info from 2 years ago, so nothing looks the same. what joy

@ShockwaveV88

If you can’t get it to claim, there is network problem.

Looking at Plex.tv, I don’t see anything registered.

In the audit logs, I see you didn some removing?

Any removing I did was early on in the day when issue first arose. I made duplicates of original files before any fiddling in the preference.xml file. I replaced them back before I did the uninstall/reclaim token process. Only thing I removed was these and when I poked at it now, all are “”.

PlexOnlineUsername
PlexOnlineMail
PlexOnlineToken

I will try again shortly with reclaiming.

Unless something was done on your end. I just did the same process of uninstalling, waiting 5+ mins while I set up a hotspot with my Synology, it is back to working and I have reclaimed my Plex Server.

Check your network (default gateway, etc)

Something is amiss there

Thanks. I met the same issue and Chuk’s solution helps me.

I changed my password and I can start the PLEX Server.
My folders disappeared.
I am unable to add my music.
Did reinstall as mentioned. No success.
Missing the relevant menu.

Hi Chuck.
Here is my logs.
If u can help me…

Thank you.

Found that Do not access to the library since I change my password
Worked and thanks a lot.

@Dok2000

I am VERY sorry for the delay. It has been a hard, long, day.

Before I forget, I created a tool to help us all.

It understands DSM 6 & 7, QNAP QTS & QuTS, and Linux workstation & server.

I am very sorrry you had to wait.

I DID FIND:

(6, Couldn't resolve host name) (Could not resolve host: plex.tv)

This is a network configuration problem.

Please make sure the default gateway address and DNS server address are correct for your network and point to your modem/router.

Thank you Chuck! :hugs:
No worries for delay! After all it’s not a life and death situation!!! It’s still life after plex!
I can only imagine what kind of day you had regarding all that madness…
As for the problem itself, after “cooking” it (uninstalling, reinstalling, all kind of resets, tried to gain access, etc. etc.) for more than 4-5 hours trying to make things work, I’ve dropped it and moved to daily routine. In the morning (i.e. today) everything was back again. The only step-back was that I had to rebuild my whole libraries from scratch.
Thank you! Regards!
