Some channels stop tuning. Others still work

I have had limited success with LiveTV tuning with Plex. I use an Xbox One Hauppauge tuner connected to a Windows 10 PC as the server. Players I have tried include Plex Preview on Roku and local Windows 10 player.

The issue is the channels indeed tune occasionally, especially after restarting the Plex windows service. But, they stop or freeze for some channels and refuse to tune. If I install the Hauppauge WinTV software, it works great. This is killing me with the wife factor as she complains endlessly about Plex not working.

I have tried rescanning channels and, again, all is fine with WinTV software. The issue is with Plex.

Sometimes other software can interfere with Plex using the tuner. Please remove the WinTV software, and try again.

Thanks Dave. I should have been more clear. I do not leave WinTV installed. I just installed it to test the tuner.

My issues are with that software uninstalled.

Now, I did rescan channels and that appears to have stabilized things for the moment. Will continue to monitor.
