Some remote access stopped working

@chuckpa Ok i was just asking about the need to disable the option “enable remote acces” before what you did.
With my latest log, can you see if what you did (reset)has been a succes or has it failed like the first time ?Plex Media Server Logs_2020-10-04_20-08-35.zip (1.9 MB)

Same problem here, can still access directly my ip, remote access in apps not working. Sometimes i am connected for remote access for up to 20 seconds before i loose connection again

@ChuckPa Here are my logs.

@Sefjoe

I am seeing the same infinite loop in your logs I am seeing in others.

I’ve forwarded your logs directly to Plex.tv team as well.

There’s something it really doesn’t like about us resetting the certificate

@ChuckPa
Thank you, should I leave the server down in the meantime?

Use it if you wish. You just won’t have remote access unless it decides to right itself.
This is unfortunately beyond my permission level to access the cloud.

That’s excatly the same for me. It works 10-15 seconds max.

With my log, i’m in the infinite loop too @ChuckPa ?

One of the plex.tv engineers did log in.

He’s aware and looking now.

@ChuckPa for my problem too ?

@yevaman44

For everyone’s.

Now please breathe :slight_smile:
Everything will be ok :smiling_imp:

Trust me :smiling_imp:

@ChuckPa ok :slight_smile: this problem is quite anoying for my personnal organisation. Sorry for all my sollicitations :). I’m will waiting shutly now :slight_smile:

This situation has personally cost me a weekend away with friends and last night’s dinner (which was too dry to eat after reheating the third time). Fast food does not sit well with me so there is that in addition.

Sorry for that dude…
Come in France, I will paid you a good restaurant to apologize :slight_smile:

@yevaman44

Can you please look at your Plex server logs.

I’m hoping to figure out, without digging deep into plex.tv, which region server you are on.

Ireland, London, or Amsterdam,

The region code should show / be identifiable by the IP address EventSource resolves to.

Ok, I will try,

When I download the log, i’ve got plenty file. What is the name of the file I have to look in ? this one ? : Plex Media Server.log ?

Yes,

For me, the region is Newark, NJ (code: EWR) and I can tell it is because of it’s IP address.

Server Version#: 1.20.1.3252
Player Version#: 4.34.4

Have been running the same Plex server for years with no issues, even through several changes to router & modem setups, always with manual port forwarding for Remote Access.

Earlier this week I changed to a new modem (Netgear CM2000 cable modem) and now the Remote Access is “Not available outside your network.”

I’m still able to access the Plex server by manually navigating to my WAN IP with the correct port (currently set to 50000 forwarding to 32400 in my UniFi Dream Machine Pro). However none of my users can access the server.

Attached are my logs after a reboot of my server. Any help would be much appreciated.

@ckoufos

When you are ready, Please stop the server

Notify me the server is stopped and I will reset the certificate.

I will do this because your logs show one of the problems associated with the partial network outage earlier last week.

Resetting the certificate will allow it to communicate with Plex.tv again.

If this is insufficient, we’ll know almost immediately as there is a known (yet unidentified – due to being the weekend) issue stemming from the reset.

I have merged your thread here as it looks to be the same as these.

I have stopped the server.
