Title says it all. Some video files have download as an option and some don’t. Why?
You can’t download our streaming content. If it is a friennds server they need to allow you to download. The Web app only has Download File which only the server admin can do and is different than Downloads found in the desktop and mobile apps.
Not downloading streaming content. Local files stored on my server which I am trying to download to my own mobile device. Using the same Plex login/account, not sharing.

That is the web app that only has Download File. A Show as a whole or season is not a file so won’t have it. The second screenshot is an individual episode which is a specific file so does have Download File. Download File is a direct download to whatever your browser default downloads directory is and the server will not track playback of it.
Downloads is a separate feature which the web app does not have. The mac/win/ linux desktop and mobile apps do have it, which you can choose show/season or episodes and the server will keep track of
On android mobile devices the downloads is a circle down arrow icon. it does not appear in the contextual menu. TV devices do not have download capability
Strange, some of these icons were not available before but are now. They were recently added files, maybe the download option isn’t immediately available. Anyway, seems to be working now. Thanks for the assistance.
