Try “Refresh Metadata” for the movie. That usually corrects things like that for me.

In that folder, does System Internal User PlexMediaServer (dsm 7), have read permission to the SRT?

One other thing to check after checking the permissions. If you copied the srt in after the movie was scanned/matched you may need to scan the library again for plex to pick it up. May also be a stupid browser refresh problem. Check with an empty browser cache if all the above still does not work.

Crazy idea as a test… Have you tried a three code language identifier, nor?

A really dumb, dumb question … does it work with a different language code? If you rename it .en.srt … (I’m having flashbacks to one time where crufty old enterprise system interpreted no as FALSE and it took us forever to figure it out …)
