I began Sonic Analysis on Aug 22, 2021. It reported that there were 4261 Albums to analyze. As of this morning, the process is about 32.6% complete, with about 2860 albums remaining.

I analyzed my Plex log files and have calculated a projected completion date of Oct 3, 2021. The process appears to be running at a steady rate.

This post is for information only, intended to share my experience, for others to compare/contrast against, and for the Plex Development team to use for future product development.

That’s exactly same specs I have and it is so frustratingly slow.

UPDATE — As of yesterday evening, the process is about 89.9% complete. The original projection of Oct 3 will likely get missed by a few days.
