Sonos Airplay sound out of sync / no sound

I have a weird problem which I have had for the last year, and it is quite annoying.

When using Sonos One stereo pairs for sound over Airplay on Apple TV the sound often does not work or is out of sync. The only way to get sound is to first enable the airplay speakers AFTER starting playback on Plex. Then the sound will play but will be out of sync, so then I have to pause and play the media again and then it is OK.

If pausing playback for a short while, the sound will be gone when pressing play again, and the same procedure has to be repeated.

This issue is only for Plex, and has been a problem for the last year. All other Apple TV apps has no problems.

I’ve got the a similar issue; I lose the sound on my receiver but the Sonia speaker keeps sounding. Can you try if it goes away when you switch to the “old player” in settings? Mine works fine with that setting, but the old player is awful decoding 5.1
