Sonos Playback stopping after a few seconds

Hello Everyone, I hope someone can help here.

I’m moving all my music into Plex and using it as my own music streaming platform. I have been using Plex for video since 2013! So I know the platform well.

But I have ran into a problem I cannot seem to solve myself. I have Plex linked to my Sonos speakers and want to use them as the main way to listen to my music at home. But I cannot get a single song to play for more than 10 seconds.

The first 10 or so seconds play find, then it just stops but the progress bar on the app continues forward. then after about 1 minute the next track starts (if a playlist of album) and the same issue starts again.

I cannot see any errors related to Sonos in the logs and I have confirmed remote access is working and my firewall is letting the connection in.

Any ideas are most welcome.

It’s a known issue, see this thread (and you might want to follow it):

A workaround is to use the Sonos app connected to your Plex music library.

I’m working with the devs on this issue so I would like to close this thread as a duplicate if thats okay with you?
