Why do I get email spam about being a valued customer and therefore I get 25% off Plex pass lifetime? I already have that, I bought it for a full price too.
Does this mean that I’m getting 25% back? Or do you think that I should buy it again for 75% of the price since I was so dumb to buy it for full price to begin with?
I am a bit confused here, what kind of value do Plex put in me and which one of the options is true? The 25% back or that I’m a sucker who will buy it again or maybe even worse, be running around like an idiot recruiting my family and friends with this new ”golden” opportunity to give Plex even more money?
Instead of using me as a tool you can just put that promotion on the website and whoever is interested in buying your ■■■■ can do so if he or she pleases. But sending me emails about your commercial is a big no-no!
I am not working for free, I am not someone you can use for whatever purpose you can brainfart.
This isn’t just Plex - I get these all the time from companies where I bought something.
I don’t think email blasts are that sophisticated; if you’re subscribed, you get it whatever the subject. The problem is when companies auto-subscribe you in the first place.
Just unsubscribe to “Sales & Promotions” per the link provided.
That’s what happened with me. I have my Lifetime Plex subscription under one email alias and another Plex account with no subscription I use for testing under a different email alias which both go to the same email inbox. The one which had a lifetime subscription didn’t get the promo, and the one that had no subscription received the promo.
When I clicked on the redemption link, as I was already logged into Plex on my browser with my main account it let me know that I didn’t need to subscribe.
