Split movies/ Two files in one folder

So A couple of my Movies that are ripped from DVD are too long to fit on a single DVD, so the movie is split either on to a double sided DVD or two separate DVDs. This means two separate files for one movie. Example: dances with wolves.

I would like to keep both parts in one folder, but this presents two problems for me

  1. The named files (Side a & b) don’t load in any Meta Data
  2. I haven’t been able to figure out any way to play the second part, including making a playlist out of the two separate files.

Is there any way that I can keep both files in the same folder, so that it will go under one name, that will retrieve the metadata properly so I don’t have to type it in myself and will play both files consecutively?

thanks

Inofficial way, but works better in the end. Requires the two discs were ripped exactly the same way:

An UP vote as the most sane solution. The way Plex deals with Stacked items is less than spectacular.
