Splitting similar TV series in my library - Revisited

I am having the exact same problem with the exact same series as @BlackDeath in this thread.

@BlackDeath says that Plex offered to “split” the episodes, and apparently everything lived happily ever after.

My problem is that my Plex isn’t offering any kind of “split” option (or I don’t know where to look), so I still end up with two separate series in two separate folders combined by the UI.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to “split” these?

I don’t remember having to do anything special to make them split.
But sometimes i don’t get the option to split shows when i know i should.
